- Folio 282. Letter from W E Goodacre, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mansfield Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Board. In reference to a letter dated 23 May, number Paper Number: 20380/1855, relative to the purchase of land, informing that because the amount of compensation to be paid to the lord of the manor for 'enfranchising' such land has not been agreed upon and as a result the draft conveyance has not been completed; according to Mr Walkden the solicitor's report. Stating that Mr Walkden will be urged to obtain a settlement urgently and forwarded the completed draft conveyance thereon. Annotated: await a month; send a reminder in a fortnight. 24063/1855. Poor Law Union Number 337. Counties: Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
