Description

Licence number 9459: Samuel Smith.

Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of wounding with intent to disfigure and maim at the Assizes at Gloucester, Gloucestershire 31 March 1858.

Then aged 34 years and by trade a Church of England clergyman.

Sentence: 4 years transportation.

Licence granted 29 June 1861, for early release from Portland prison.
