Description

Licence number 9440: Robert Peebles.

Caption order and prison record from when he was convicted of theft and previous conviction at the Circuit Court of Judiciary at Ayr, Scotland 20 April 1858.

Then aged 17 years and by trade a chimneysweep.

Sentence: 4 years penal servitude.

Licence granted 29 June 1861, for early release from Portland prison.
