Folios 233-234. Letter from R Barker [Richard Barker] and James L Barker, Clerks to the Guardians of the Tynemouth Poor Law Union, to Edwin Chadwick, Secretary to the Poor Law Commission, asking their opinion on a dispute in a case concerning two townships. Enclosed: details of the case concerning the townships of Chirton and Wallsend. On 30 September 1819, Thomas Coxon had an agreement with Robert Veitch, Agent, to [A M De Cardormel Lawson], concerning ground in Chirton township, on which to build a house to rest upon the house of Joseph Forster, for 21 years from 2 May 1820. Thomas Coxon has acquired a legal settlement in Wallsend parish. Paper number: 3671/B/1838. Poor Law Union Number 333. Counties: Northumberland.
