- Folios 227-228. Letter from R Barker [Richard Barker] and James L Barker, Clerks to the Guardians of the Tynemouth Poor Law Union, to the Poor Law Commission, concerning the appointment of Nicholas Forster, as Collector of Rates, for the township of Newsham and South Blyth. An extract from the minutes of the guardians, on 12 April 1838, to this effect is enclosed. Annotated: refer to Sir John Walsham [Assistant Poor Law Commissioner], for his opinion on this appointment and that collectors' orders were issued for the Tynemouth Poor Law Union on 29 October 1836. Paper number: 3096/B/1838. Poor Law Union Number 333. Counties: Northumberland.
