Folio 19: case no 8, Richard Parsons, aged 18, private 4th Regiment, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, cephalea et obstipatio, acute pain affecting the whole of the [sinerput?] increasing during the morning; put on sick list 31 August 1831, discharged 3 September 1831 to duty.
Folio 19: case no 9, Thomas Farrell, aged 30, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, ulcus, fell down the ladder, with which his right leg made contact and produced a severe contusion and abrasion of the cicatrix of an old and extensive ulcer; put on sick list 8 September 1831, discharged 6 November 1831 cured.
Folio 20: case no 10, Thomas White, aged 26, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, cephalea, acute pain affecting the sinciput and vertex with sense of weakness and general lanqour; put on sick list 10 September 1831, discharged 16 September 1831 cured.
Folio 20: case no 11, Edward Lawler, aged 23, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, colica, labouring under spasmodic pain at the umbilicus and lower abdomen with flatulent distension and constipation of bowels; put on sick list 11 September 1831, discharged 16 September 1831 cured.
Folios 21-23: case no 12, William Goodfellow, aged 43, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, phthisis incipiens, cough with soreness under the sternum not amounting to pain and accompanied with a pretty free expectoration of mucus; put on sick list 18 September 1831, discharged 18 November 1831.
Folios 24-25: case no 13, John Boyle, aged 20, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, cephalea, spare and sallow with a heavy downcast countenance, upwards of four months in confinement before coming on board this ship. Affected with acute pain of the forehead particularly over the left orbit; put on sick list 19 September 1831, discharged 29 September 1831 cured.
Folio 25: case no 14, John Flannigan 2nd, aged 27, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, catarrhus, robust of short stature and florid complexion, subject for the last eight days to cough and at time (during the night) to difficulty of breathing without pain, there is however general soreness over the chest at the lower part of the sternum; put on sick list 22 September 1831, discharged 27 September 1831 cured.
Folio 26: case no 15, John Noonan, aged 19, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, catarrhus, cough especially during the night with soreness a little above the epigastrium, nausea, occasionally vomiting and loss of appetite; put on sick list 23 September 1831, discharged 1 October 1831 cured.
Folios 26-29: case no 16, James Reilly 1st, aged 22, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, amentia melancholic, was called into the prison last night about 10 oclock when this man was attempting to strangle himself by twisting a leathern belt round his neck, the noise of suffocation attracted the attention of his fellow prisoners who instantly gave the alarm; put on sick list 30 September 1831, discharged 22 October 1831, he still maintained a sullen melancholic appearance and never mingled in amusement or conversation with his fellow prisoners, and I was under the necessity of keeping constant spies on his conduct lest he should commit any outrage which he repeatedly had threatened to do.
Folio 29: case no 17, James Lynam, aged 19, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, catarrhus, acute headache, cough with soreness at the top of the sternum and lower part of the trachea; put on sick list 10 October 1831, discharged 14 October 1831 cured.
Folio 30: case no 18, William Conway, aged 23, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, rheumatism, suffered nocturnal pains of the limbs more or less since his discharge from the sick list on 14th ultimo. The testicle continues slightly enlarged but without pain or inconvenience, now he complains of pain affecting the right arm from the elbow to the shoulder, particulalry acute under the scapula of that side; put on sick list 11 October 1831, discharged 18 October 1831.
Folio 30: case no 19, Richard Crampton, aged 18, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, diarrhoea, spare habit and sallow complexion, labouring under a purging accompanied with pain of abdomen especially proceeding each discharge, the stool are free and watery of a dark brown colour; put on sick list 21 October 1831, discharged 28 October 1831.
Folio 31: case no 20, Michael Brady, aged 21, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, catarrhus, troublesome cough without affecting his general health [but] has prevented him enjoying sleep, he has felt some soreness of breast with hoarseness to a degree rendering voice inaudible; put on sick list 29 October 1831, discharged 4 November 1831 cured.
Folio 31: case no 21, John Hartnett, aged 24, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, rheumatismus acutus, seized during the night with acute pain and inability of moving the left arm, the pain extend from the elbow to the wrist; put on sick list 30 October 1831, discharged 5 [November] 1831 cured.
Folio 32: case no 22, William Logue, aged 32, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, rheumatismus, pain under the left false ribs posteriorly increased by cough or drawing a deep inspiration; put on sick list 1 November 1831, discharged 20 November 1831 cured.
Folios 33-34: case no 23, Owen Gilmore, aged 20, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, catarrhus et scorbutus, the cervical glands being much enlarged when he embarked but gradually subsiding, symptoms at present, rigors, soreness of breast, cough and confined bowels; put on sick list 12 November 1831, discharged 13 December 1831 cured.
Folios 34-35: case no. 24, James Noon, aged 51, convict, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, habitudo hydropica ascites, (formerly) a soldier and at the period of the commitment received a pension, has a sallow complexion and worn out constitution, labouring under dropsy; put on sick list 15 November 1831, discharged 7 December 1831 cured.
Folio 36: case no 25, John Donnelly, aged 18, private 4th Regiment, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, catarrhus, headache with frequent and severe cough; put on sick list 27 November 1831, discharged 13 December 1831 to duty.
Folios 36-37: case no 26, Eliza Hobbs, aged 32, private's wife 4th Regiment, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, parturition, this woman was delivered of a female infant last night about 10 o'clock without unusual occurrence, after pain during the night with sense of distension and fulness of abdomen but without pain; put on sick list 9 December 1831, disembarked 16 December 1831 at Sydney.
Folios 37-38: case no 27, Elizabeth Bond, aged 28, sergeant's wife 4th Regiment, taken ill at sea; sick or hurt, parturition, was called to this patient (in the last stage of her first pregnancy) about midnight of the 11th, she informed that she had has slight pains at intervals during the afternoon and evening, that half and hour previous the water had been discharged, and the pain were more frequent; put on sick list 13 December 1831, disembarked 16 December 1831 at Sydney.
