- Folio 419. Letter to the Poor Law Board from John Craig, Master of Reeth Poor Law Union Workhouse. He states that because the inmates of the workhouse have been so healthy for a long time, no dietary changes have been asked for by the medical officer, but if a diet change is required, it will be done according to the directions of the poor law Board. Annotated: Mr Hurst [Norman Edward Hurst, Inspector] is the book improperly kept by the medical officer as well as the master? 12 July. The book is in the old form. There are no extras mentioned. The medical officer has made omissions too. Also form 2 in the visitor's book is incorrect. E H [Hurst] 4 August. Mr Austin [Clerk, 1st Class] 6 August. 27359/1852. Poor Law Union Number 555. Counties: Yorkshire North Riding.
