Draft letter from the Poor Law Board to J R Tomlin [James Robinson Tomlin], Clerk to the Guardians of the reeth poor law union, thanking them for their letter of 7 June on the subject of the nomination of John Close as guardian for the township of Grinton. It appears to the Board that as Close has the legal qualification and the nominee was qualified, then Close should take his seat as guardian on Reeth Poor Law Union, with no new election needed. 21681/1852. Poor Law Union Number 555. Counties: Yorkshire North Riding.
