- Folios 378-379. Audit Report Form 'Statement of the Auditor', from James Hunton, District Auditor for Durham and Yorkshire for the half-year ended 29 September 1851, on the books kept by John Craig, Relieving Officer of the Reeth Poor Law Union. Also includes Audit Report Form 'Statement of the Auditor', from James Hunton, District Auditor for Durham and Yorkshire, for the half-year ended 29 September 1851, on the books kept by John Craig, Master of the Reeth Poor Law Union. In most areas there are no defects, but 3 areas are imperfectly done: provisions receipt and consumption account; quarterly summary of provisions received and consumed; clothing register book. Hunton's complaints are that entries are sometimes made in pencil; corresponding entries do not always agree and are sometimes omitted. Hunton writes that Craig has clearly not understood the way to keep the book, but that after an explanation he now appears to understand. 52197/1851. Poor Law Union Number 555. Counties: Yorkshire North Riding.
