Enrolments of deeds and instruments relating to the purchase, sale, lease and exchange of Crown lands, made in the Office of Land Revenue Records and Enrolments.
These enrolments by deposit relate to the Crown woods and forests whose management passed in 1924 from the Office of Woods, Forests and Land Revenues to the Forestry Commission. Under the terms of the Forestry (Transfer of Woods) Order 1926, s5(b), the Forestry Commission was relieved of the requirement to enrol deeds relating to the estates in its care.
