Commenting upon the contents of SP 63 425/3965, SP 63 425/3966, SP 63 425/3967, SP 63 425/3969: he had already been informed that Mr Justice Hewitt had been appointed chancellor; HM surprised at the clamour since in England the seals have at times been kept open for many months longer; HM had taken particular notice of the conduct of Mr Malone to whom he was to convey HM's approbation; while HM does not think proper to recede from resolution in regard to places and pensions yet he will at the end of the sessions or on Townsend's return to England take into consideration the names of those who have supported the crown affairs.
