William Wesley Pole. Note from Mr Smith, in the absence of Mr Nelson. By Order in Council May1807, the Storekeeper at Chatham was allowed £400 per annum in Peace and £480 per annum in War, with an official residence in the Yard. The recommendation of the Board of Revision, is for the salary of the Storekeeper at Chatham to be increased to £600 per annum both in Peace and War.
