Copy letter from Mills, Hughes and Bough reporting on their efforts to remove the accumulated mud from the moorings opposite Woolwich Dock Yard. Opine that the causes of the accumulation were the debris dumped in the area during the construction of a new river wall and the removal of ballast from the opposite bank of the river which resulted in a decrease in the velocity of the current on the Woolwich side. Opine that the accumulation will cease if the ballast removal is halted. Offer to continue work on a rate per ton basis or a fixed sum..
