William Wellesley Pole. The fees on Admiralty Warrants collected since 31st March 1807 cannot be paid over to the Admiralty. Mr. Townsend, the Receiver of Fees at the Navy Office, left for Jamaica and subsequently died in the West Indies. Accounts are being made up, but it appears that a considerable sum of public money is missing and can only be reclaimed from Townsend's sureties.
