Description

William Wellesley Pole. Charles C. Fitch, styling himself 'Lieutenant commanding the Elizabeth schooner', has drawn a bill for Russia sheeting for the ship. Fitch is not on the Navy list, no vouchers have been provided, and there is no record of his appointment to command the Elizabeth. Ask if it should be accepted.
