William Wellesley Pole. From August to December 1806 Sir Thomas Troubridge drew bills for marine stores supplied by the East India Company at Penang and for the purchase of a boat for the Macassar. There are no vouchers for the bills or documents showing which ships received the stores. Opine that Troubridge's accounts cannot be cleared without a dispensing order but that such an order should not be given without further investigation. Ask for a list of the ships under Troubridge's command at the time the bills were drawn.
