Andrew Allen, HM Consul at Boston, has been directed by HM Minister in Washington, to spare no expense in sending British seamen to British ports who apply to his office for passage. He has sent from 50 to 60 men to Halifax, New Brunswick and to England and has incurred expense as a consequence. Gives details of payments for slops, board and lodging, certified by two Boston merchants
