William Wellesley Pole. Admiral Young has complained of the failure of the chain plates of the Éclair. The Plymouth Officers state that the Chain Plates were too small and that they were made of poor quality iron. Mr. Warren, builder of the Éclair, has been asked to pay the Treasurer of HM Navy the cost of making them good.
