Description (What the record is about)

William Wesley Pole. The agents of the late Captain R H Savage, Commander of the Martin Sloop, have asked for dispensation for his books and papers. The only document delivered into office is a muster book, but the Boatswain and Carpenter have passed accounts, the Lieutenants have delivered Journals, the ship has since been lost and the Captain is dead. No papers have been delivered for the passing of the Captain's Victualling account, nor any accounts for the Purser for the period. Since Quarterly accounts for the time have been transmitted, there is no objection, upon production of the usual certificate from the Purser, to dispensation for papers from Captain Savage.
