William Wesley Pole. Messrs. Grenfell and Williams, have presented a paper on the various expenses attending the remanufacture of copper at Portsmouth Dockyard. Mr Goodrich, on behalf of General Bentham, states the cost at Portsmouth of remanufacturing and rolling into sheets the copper, is 1½d per lb. Is sending reports from the Woolwich, Chatham, Sheerness and Plymouth Officers, showing stocks on shore of various types of copper at June last, the interest of money in this stock and an account of the accumulation of old copper in the last three years.
