Description

Evan Nepean. In relation to Rear Admiral Philip's comments, the best methods of transporting newly raised men from the rendezvous are either by contracting for their passage or by hiring tenders exclusively for that purpose. Of late hired tenders have been used for transportation, although their real purpose was to act as a base for the gangs pressing men from merchantships.
