Description

Philip Stephens. Daniel Butcher, late Boatswain of the Diligence, who was superceeded on a complaint of his having embezzled the King's stores. He now belongs to Sheerness Ordinary and asks to be restored to the employment of a Boatswain in the Navy. The Sheerness Officers inform us that he was entered into the Ordinary in August 1770 on application. They found him a good man and was taken into the rigging house as a Rigger's Labourer, where he continued until last February and was discharged with others. He was received back into the Ordinary but was discharged to go to sea as Boatswain's Mate of the Active, where he now is with a good character
