Philip Stephens. Two slips will become vacant within the year by the launching of the Egmont at Deptford and the Prudent at Woolwich. Propose that a ship of 74-guns is set up at Deptford and one of 64-guns at Woolwich as no ship has been built in place of the Cumberland, lost in 1762, and the Bedford, converted into a hulk. Ask for directions to allow time for the collection and seasoning of their frames
