Philip Stephens. Are sending a copy report received from the Deptford Officers of the state of the copper sheathing on the Tamar's bottom, lately returned from a foreign voyage, which will be followed with our observations on the effect of the experiment against the worm as well as the bottom of the frigate, as on the bottoms of the Alarm, Tartar and Dolphin, whose reports were sent previously. As the iron work is wasted having been in the timbers since she was first built, nine years ago, she will need to be new bolted and ask for directions to remove the copper sheathing
