Philip Stephens. Thomas Parry, appointed by Vice Admiral Cornish at the Cape of Good Hope, to act as Naval Storekeeper to the ships under his command, gives an account of his disbursements for stores and workmanship for refitting. List some articles which cannot be allowed by the Rules of this Office without Admiralty order: to Joseph Baptist as interpreter of languages to the Vice Admiral and for Mr. Parry's salary as Storekeeper and his subsistence on shore when purchasing and issuing stores. Ask if the allowances may be allowed as has been done in the past
