Description

Philip Stephens. George Nixon has applied for Richard Mathews to be paid by bill for the time he acted as Lieutenant of the Penzance, by order of Commodore Leslie, in place of Lieutenant Rogers, appointed to command the Medway Buss. Mr. Mathews is borne as acting Lieutenant of the Penzance for victuals only from October 1759 to February 1760, when the proper number of Lieutenants are borne on the books. He will have to be paid by bill
