John Clevland. John Bromsall, Merchant of Dover, fitted the Success Cutter in 1757 for the Service and was discharged in October 1759. When a survey was taken recently she was found fit to be continued and he continued in her and she is now in service again. Asks for her discharge to be taken off as during the interval she was employed or lay at Plymouth waiting for a protection for men to bring her round to Dover. Her order for discharge in October 1759 was on Commodore Hanway's representation which we find to be well founded. Opine she should not be paid for the time of her discharge but ask if an allowance should be made to the owner for her detention whilst her men were impressed
