Thomas Corbett. Have been asked if the Admiralty directions have been followed with regard to Anthony Lambert, said to be Carpenter of the Salisbury who has taken 14 days leave and not on the books of the ship; Richard Drakesford, Purser of the Devonshire, was to have exchanged ships with John Taylor, Purser of the Chichester, but he was already at sea; Jeremiah Gregory was to be entered as Purser of the Salisbury but she was rebuilding; and John Joce, Purser of the Sandwich, was to transfer to the Montague, but the Sandwich had sailed before the order was issued. There is no proper Purser on the Montague.
