Description

Folios 153-156. A letter and enclosure from Francis Freeling, at the General Post Office, London. The letter is regarding the enclosed letter from Mr Webb, Portsmouth Post Office, [Hampshire] on the subject of Nutbourne, [West Sussex], a small village between Chichester and Emsworth. He reports that the post for the village can be delivered by deputy of either town. He continues that, as requested, he went to Emsworth and gave the letters to the post master, and while there asked if they were expecting any post for a Mr and Mrs Evans. He reports that he then went to Chichester, and after a discussion with Mr Angel left the letters you enclosed there. He finishes by saying he has no doubt that particular attention will have been aroused.
