Description

In reply to an enquiry states that, on assuming the military command in the West Indies, he had found the armed brigantine Duke of York wearing a pendant, and had understood that permission had been given by the admirals. Further states that although the vessel is not attached to the Royal Navy, she is an armed vessel in His Majesty's Service.
