Sussex, widow of Sir John Peachey of West Dean, bart., deceased, and (b) Sir James Peachey of West Dean, bart., younger brother of the said Sir John Peachey, and John Peachey of West Dean, esq., his only son and heir, to (c) Thomas Middleton of Lincolns Inn, Co. Middlesex, gentleman

Recites: (i) 12 August 1752. Settlement whereby the property described as I - VII above was appointed by the said Sir John Peachey to the use of the said Dame Elizabeth Peachey (then Elizabeth Fagge) for her life for her jointure

(ii) That the property described as I - VII above then stood settled to the said Dame Elizabeth Peachey for her life with remainder to the use of the said Sir James Peachey for his life and thereafter to the use of the said John Peachey in tail male

(iii) That the remainder of the property described above then stood settled to the use of the said Sir James Peachey for his life, thereafter to the use of Lady Georgia Carolina Peachey, his wife, for her life for her jointure, with remainder to the use of the said John Peachey intail male

By this deed the said property is conveyed to the said Thomas Middleton to the intent that he may become tenant of the freehold so that a common recovery may be suffered, and the property limited to the uses declared therein, namely to the use of the said Sir James Peachey during his life and thereafter to the use of the said John Peachey and his heirs in tail male, subject to the life interests of the said Dame Elizabeth Peachey and Lady Georgia Carolina Peachey
