This file is split with dividers into sections headed 'Psychological test results', 'Fairbridge Statistics' and 'Fairbridge Correspondence'. The file contains lists of the names and ages of children received and emigrated to Australia through the Middlemore Homes by The Fairbridge Society, the Northcote Society and also some children emigrated to Canada. The section headed 'Psychological test results' contains lists of children submitted for psychological tests, with the date of birth and results for each child. In most cases, the results include an IQ score and comments by the tester. The file includes notes on medical examinations of named children prior to emigration and lists of the clothing and equipment required by children for emigration to farm schools in Australia. The correspondence section of the file consists of correspondence of Mr. Robert Plenderleith (Secretary and Superintendent of the Middlemore Homes) and Miss Randall (Deputy Secretary) with The Fairbridge Society concerning the emigration of named children and families to Australia. The correspondence covers the period 1 January 1953 - 24 April 1961.
