-summary description, with provenance details, of a portrait of Lady Alston

-handwritten list entitled 'Annan's Gainsborough Photographs'

-summary description of a portrait Karl Friederich Abel

-letter from Rene Huyghe, Louvre, dated 2 April 1947 concerning a portrait of Lady Alston (the verso is heavily annotated by Waterhouse) . Also includes the following article: Huyghe, Rene (1948) 'Le Portrait de Lady Alston Par Gainsborough', Musee de Louvre, Bulletin Paraissant Dix Foid Par An, pp25-28. In French.

-letter from S.M. Beignuin, Assistant Director of paintings at the Louvre, dated 19 June 1955. In French

-two letters from Brigadier General Nassington (?), undated, concerning a portrait of Lady Alston

-letter from Mr Regie, dated 1967, concerning a portrait supposedly of Lady Harriot Acland said to be by Gainsborough. Also includes copy of a reply from Waterhouse stating that the sitter is not Acland and the work is not by Gainsborough.

-letter from Murray Charters, dated 10 June 1974, concerning portraits of C.F. Abel and C.P.E. Bach

-letter from G.T. Dow-Smith, dated 11 May 1966, concerning a portraits of Elizabeth Adney and Captain John Bagge

-letter from the Earl of Aylesford, dated 10 February 1953, concerning a portrait of the third Earl of Aylesford

-two letters from Patrick Lindsay, Christie's, dated 2 & 16 October 1975, concerning a portrait of the Duke of Argyll
