Description

Mortgage whereby, having recited that Charles Bray possesses the hereinafter-described premises subject to a 19th. Oct.[, 1854] mortgage to Edward Bicknell (of Coventry, surgeon) for £600 which is still due: therefore Charles Bray (as empowered by 24th. June[, 1854] and 29th. Sept.[, 1854] indentures made between Robert Harvey Minster and Thomas Ebbage of the first part, himself of the second, and Henry Inglis Davis of the third) charges a Lammas land called "Church Yard Leys" near Radford, Holy Trinity pa. (formerly in Coventry county, now in Warws.; successively occupied by Thomas Murcott, Andrew Murcott, John Downes, Thomas Minster and Charles Bray; it bounds north on land which was once Elizabeth Smith's, south on St. Nicholas' church-yard, west on land formerly Richard Bruce's and east on the lane leading from Whitmore Park to Coventry) together with a St. Nicholas' St. dwelling (in Holy Trinity pa., it was built by the late Thomas Minster upon land near St. Nicholas' churchyard bounded north by the highway, south and west by premises which Sarah Bacon Minster sold to C. Bray and east by the street) occupied by Mrs. Hennell, for redemption of £300 plus £5% p.a. interest on 4th. May [, 1855].
