Register of rental agreements entered into by the company as the land owner. Details included are description of tenancy, name of tenant, annual rent receivable and due dates for payment. The agreements are split into the broad categories - works, mines and collieries, but within these there are large variations in the type and size of properties let. These range from large considerations such as coal depots, whole farms and cottages through to much smaller considerations such as billboards.
The agreements are listed by geographical area, and each area has with it the relative section of Ordnance Survey map with the sites marked and numbered upon them. There are approximately 20 such maps, covering areas across Teesside such as Middlesbrough, Eston, Bowesfield, Cleveland Works etc. and also further afield into Durham (Stillington and Bowburn etc.) and South Yorkshire (Upton). A further point to note is the listing of sites used in World War Two such as barrage balloon sites and air raid shelters.
