Letter of P[eter] Parker, Portsmouth returning two signed Patents to William White, Grand Secretary, Moderns' Grand Lodge, London with remarks about the inconsiderate behaviour of the Country Stewards' Lodge. Remarks that with patience the Lodge might have accomplished its wishes and asks for an Almanac for the current year.

Country Steward's Lodge was granted a warrant by the Moderns' Grand Lodge on 25 July 1789 and met as No. 540 at the Guildhall Coffee House, Gresham Street, London. In 1790 the Lodge moved to the Freemasons' Tavern, Great Queen Street, London. The Lodge was renumbered as No. 449 in 1792. The Lodge made its last payment in 1799 and lapsed about 1802.
