At the Great Sessions at Pool on 4 April.last Mathew Mathewes levied to Home and his heirs a fine on a moiety of 2 messuages, one cottage, 2 gardens , 4 orchards, 50 acres land, 40 acres meadow, 60 acres pasture and 40 acres furze and heath in Mellington; immediately before the levying of the fine. Jane and Martha were seized of a moiety to them and the heirs of their bodies
The fine to enure and every fine levied since Christmas last to enure as to one moiety of which Jane was seized to use that Margaret wife of Mathew Mathewes if she survive him shall take for life an annuity of £10 without abatement for parliamentary or other lewnes or taxes, with power to distrain after 20 days and subject to this as limited by release of 2 March 1716/7 between (1) Mathew Mathewes and Jane Mathewes 3rd daughter, Maurice Lloyd the elder of the town of Mont. tanner and Elinor his wife, Maurice Lloyd party as Maurice Lloyd the younger son and heir of Maurice the elder (2) John Home of Hyssington gentleman and John Griffiths of Dole fo Radnor gentleman (3) Thomas Biggs of Shrewsbury gentleman and Christopher Whittingham pf Twmberth co Salop gentleman
As to the other moiety of which Martha Mathewes was seized before the levying of the fine, to use that Mathew Mathewes and Margaret his wife from 25 March last have an annuity of £10 for their lives, with power to distrain after 20 days, and subject to this to use of Martha ,athewes her heirs and assigns
