Description (What the record is about)
-
The payment of the £600 shall be done according to notice if the executors will transfer and guarantee his lord and Sir Thomas Brooke from the heir. He presumes this has been mentioned to Mr. Hill. Jackson would like to know how far Hill consents to this.
Directed to Mr. Chambre, Attorney at Law at Petton.
On Dorse
Copy of Chambre's Reply. Petton, 22nd September, 1725
He cannot tell what to say touching Mr. Hill or the other executors undertaking as he promises. He believes they will be willing to transfer all the interest they have in those mortgaged lands on receiving the money, but how much further they are to go he must submit to their own judgments and the advice of their better counsel "I am noe more than an Agent or Receiver under them and am seldom call'd upon to be their Advisor".
(Signed) F. Chambre.
Postscript:
He believes he mentioned it to Hill, but had not his answer which he could not properly give without seeing the draught.
