Description

Richd. How II (Ampley) to Briggins How, his brother. Peevish letter of complaint at his disobedience to his own and his aunt's advice "in agreeing, with your cousin Marshall, to go to Crayford without consulting us" - fearful of the ill-effects of influence of Marshall's workmen - "...When I came down to supper you did not take the least notice of me had I been in the kitchen when you came, I should have spoke to you directly tho' it would have been your place as the younger to speak first. Threatens to tell father & got grandmother to forbid him going to Crayford

Recommends his going into Lancashire.
