Robt. Sandilands, (Boneby), to Ann Eccleston. (Crown Court, Gracechurch St.) Account of yearly meeting of friends in York: rode 34 miles to York on 27th, was late for business meeting, went straight to the women's meeting at the 1st hour, & then to the men & women's meeting which ended not till about noon the next day & immediately after the public meeting for worship began which continued till neere the 6th hour, where was reckoned to be above 800 ...Friends that spoke & prayed: R.S. prayed; R. Lodge spoke; Geo. Mires; Wm. Bingly; R.S.; Tho. Musgrave; J*. Blackland; Sam. Watson; Jon. Beard. Sam. Watson is now with me ... Hope to go on to Newcastle, Edinburgh & Aberdeen: please direct letters to J. Sandilands, merchant in Aberdeen.
