By WILLIAM PITT one of the Aldermen of the City of Bristoll, and ROBERT HAVILAND of Hawksbury, gent., to Sir WILLIAM GUISE of Elmore in the co. and city of Gloucester, knt., and WILLIAM GUISE of Henbury, co. Glouc:, esq

Reciting Lease by William Botler, esq. decd, dated 22 Nov., 16 Eliz:, to Arthur Vizar, yeoman decd., father of Jerom Vizar of Hawkesbury, yeoman, and grandfather of Arthur Vizar of the same, yeoman, of the site of the manor and farm of Over Hawkesbury called Hawkesburyes barne, which the said Arthur Vizar decd, then had by virtue of a Lease by John, Abbot of the late dissolved Monastery of Pershore and the Convent of the same to one Thomas Evans dated the Purification of B.V.M. 28 Hen. VIII Rogether with all tithes of corn, hay and one half of the tithe of lambs; the interest of which term and of the several premisees thereinafter mentioned, being part and parcel of the demised premises was then vested in the said Wm. Pitt, namely

One messuage or tenement in Hawksbury, late in the tenure of Arthur Vizar and then of the said Robert Haviland

One stable, a barn called the Little Barn and a close of pasture called the Coniger with a pigeonhouse upon part thereof and a garden to the said messuage adjoining containing together 1 acre And also a close called Little Penne adjoining to the garden containing 3 acres

Also a close of meadow called Holtcrofte containing 20 acre together with 2 messuages adjoining the said close in the several tenures of Thos. Horwood and Elizabeth Horwood

Which said premises were purchased by Matthew Haviland, father of the said Robert, of Walter Dennys and Ellen Dennys

And reciting a Decree in Chancery dated 24 May then last past between Richard Holworthy of Bristol, merchant, complainant, and the said Wm. Pitt and Robt. Haviland and others, defendants

By the present deed - in pursuance of the said decree - the said Wm. Pitt and Robert Haviland assigned the premises to Sir Wm. Guise Upon trust to permit the said Robt. Haviland to enjoy the premises for the residue of the said term, if he should so long live And then if the term was unexpired to permit Elizabeth the wife of the said Robert to hold the premises
