Draft letter from the Poor Law Board, to Charles Wright, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union, approving the appointment of Thirza Mary Miles as schoolmistress at the workhouse under Art 172 of the General Consolidated Order 24 July 1847, they direct that the annual salary shall be paid to her by the guardians. They request a report after six months.
Annotated: 'No report from guardians, certificate awarded Prob 1 [Probation 1].' 24 September 1870.
