Slaney covenants within 2 months of the commencement of the terms to put the premises in good order, for the tenants' quiet possession.
In October 1710 Slaney demised to Richard Harteshorn and George Benbow mines of coal and ironstone in his lordship of Dawley for 21 years (see 796/192) with an agreement to supply his ironworks.

Slaney agrees on reasonable request to produce the counterpart to this lease made to Hartshorn and Benbow, as evidence on any trial or in any action, and will at their cost give them a copy of it and will permit the tenants to commence an action in his name upon the covenant against Hartshorn and Benbow, the tenants covenanting to keep Slaney harmless from damage by reason of such action.
