Draft letter from the Local Government Board to Walter May Barton, Clerk to the Guardians of the Mitford and Launditch Poor Law Union in response to his letter dated 24 March 1885 concerning the proposal of the guardians to receive into the workhouse the two twin children, aged 1 month, of a labourer named Stimpson Barrett. The Board is prepared to assent to the proposal for a limited period of say 3 months.
