Feoffment de capitalibus dominis in fulfilment of the Will of Geoffrey Downes founder of a chapel called Downes Chapell in Pot Shrigley; in all party 1's lands etc in the town of Bolyngton within the forest of Maclesfield together with a field called Asshenholmes in that town which were once the property of Geoffrey del Downes Gent; together with the land etc. in Moburley which Richard Sutton uncle of the said John Sutton with Robert Downes recovered by Writ of Right in the County Court of Chester held there Tuesday prox.ante fest.Sci. Michaelis Archangli a.r.r. 5 Hen VII - 22 September 1489 - against James Leghe rector of the church of Rowstorne and Reginald Legh of Blakebroke Esqs; together with all those lands and tenements etc. in the town of Alseger in the parish of Bertomley called Ormeswode or Ormeshalgh; together with messuages etc. in the parish of Glossop or elsewhere in Derbyshire which Peter Leghe and Lawrence Waren together with Geoffrey Downes of London and others now dcsd lately had by grant of Richard Birchynhalgh late of Glossop; together with the lands etc. in the parish of Mynster in the Isle of Thanet in co.Kent or elsewhere within Kent which the said William Davenport senior Kt and James Downes and William Kyndar and others now dcsd lately had by grant of William Hamo.

(1) brown, round 15mm diam, device a shield charged a chevron three cross-crosslets fitchy. (2) a blob of wax. (3) missing. (4) a blob. (5) brown, round 15mm diam, device a shield charged a liver (?) bird and the letters "L" and "(.)". (6) brown, round 15mm diam, device a shield charged a chevron three unintelligible charges in the field.
