Description

Letter of William Hedgcock, Secretary, on the behalf of the Master and Wardens of the Lodge at the Swan Inn, Dover, to Robert Leslie, Grand Secretary, stating that the Rev. James Porter has been expelled from the lodge as he has been charged with an 'unnatural crime, as remarked in the 19th chapter of the book of Genesis'. Also requesting that if it meets Grand Lodge's approval he be excluded from Masonry throughout the known world.
