ff.1-9. Presentments including on f.1 presentments for playing at cards and dice and keeping 'hores and leght suspecte persons', and f.2., for bowling on Sunday at the time of Evensong.

f.10. 1 March 1554/5 Sessions: Precept witnessed by Fulk Dutton, Mayor, to the Sheriffs to summon a jury of 24 on Thursday next after the feast of St. Gregory the Bishop [14 March 1554/5]. Endorsed: executed by Sheriffs Robert Amery and John Cowper.

ff12-21. Presentments including on f.21 a number of persons presented for keeping a 'bolying aly'.

f.22. Indictment that Ralph Wright of Chester, mercer, John Stocton of Chester, smith, and Edward Wright of Chester, labourer, on 12 May 1554 made an armed entry into the orchard of William Walton the younger in Chester and broke the lock on the gate of the said orchard. Billa vera.

f.23. Indictment that Elizabeth Murresdalle of Harwardyn, co. Flint, spinster, on Saturday after Clausum Pasche [7 April 1554] forced an entry into the shop of Richard Barton of Chester, merchant, and stole 10 yards of linen cloth called 'canvas clothe' worth 5s. Billa vera.

ff23-34. Presentments including on f.31 the presentment of an affray between 'the portyngalles' and William Waryntor and Peter Fuyth and John Hill, wever.

f.35. 26 Oct. 1554 Sessions: Precept witnessed by Fulk Dutton, Mayor, to the Sheriffs to summon a jury of 24 on Tuesday next after the feast of All Saints [6 Nov. 1554]. Endorsed: executed as in f.10.
