Letter from Stafford Price to Rev. R.J.Davies. As he is about to leave England he wishes to make an explanation to him as executor of the late Miss Davies of Brompton.

Miss Davies lent him many years since £500 on his bond, the interest on which was regularly paid by him; about 1824 he invested £200 of this in the purchase of 5 shares in the United Mexican Mining Association at £40 per share, and contined to pay the interest on the £300 until her decease. By her will she bequeathed £200 of this sum to his lamented wife, and the remaining £100 to be divided equally among his 10 children. He acknowledges to have received the £300, and wishes Davies to return his bond so that he may cancel it.

He wrote to Dan on the subject of the 5 shares who consulted with Mrs. & Miss Snape who have half interest in these with Mrs. Price, and they recommend their being sold at the market price which has been done by his usual broker, Mr. Hills, and the proceeds being £14. 11. 6. he is prepared to hand over to them half if Davies wished him to do so.
