For the residue of a term of 15 years for a yearly rent of £22 and consideration of £9.95, from Mary Bartlam of Stoke, in the County of the City of Coventry, widow of Samuel Bartlam, late of Coventry maltster, deceased and Samuel Bartlam yeoman son of the above to William Bateman of Coventry, butcher of; two pieces of enclosed land being a close known as The Shoulder of Holsons Close, later Fishers Close on the lordship of Shortley near Coventry, adjoining Gosford Green, formerly occupied by Richard Bartlett, then by Edward Robbins, then by Samuel Bartlam, deceased. The lease assigned was dated from the 1st of August 1777 and was from Richard Hopkins of Oving, Bucks., Esq., to the abovementioned Samuel Bartlam.
