Photographs were sent in response to the Guardian review of "Family Albums". Mrs. Houghton lived in George Street, Manchester from early 1914 until September 1934 when the family moved to Crumpsall. The MacBains were thought to have been friends of Mrs. Houghton's father's sisters (Howarth's). Details as given on reverse of photographs.
